Collection: Falconclaw

Falconclaw is an Estonian company building comms and night vision gear. The one most people come for is The One PTT. It works with both NATO and Peltor wired headsets, has a backup mic built into the body for setups without a boom mic, and pairs with your phone over Bluetooth. Switching radios? Swap the 25,90€ cable, not the 179,90€ PTT. Radio comms work without a battery; only the Bluetooth needs a CR123.

Shipped directly from Helsinki across the EU, VAT included. Orders placed before 14:00 Helsinki time leave the same business day.

Falconclaw PTT: The One

Most PTTs are built for one headset and one radio. Change either and you're buying another PTT.

The Falconclaw PTT works the other way round. NATO and Peltor wired hearing protection both plug straight in, with no separate version or adapter. The radio side is a swappable cable. Get a new radio and you buy a radio cable from 25,90€, not a new 179,90€ PTT.

A few details that make a difference in the field:

  • Built-in backup mic. The PTT body has its own microphone, so you can still talk with ear pro that has no boom mic, or when the boom mic breaks.
  • Bluetooth for your phone. Calls, Zello and music go through your active hearing protection. Bluetooth runs on a CR123 battery.
  • Radio works without the battery. If the CR123 dies, you lose Bluetooth, not comms.

To get the PTT off your chest and out of the way, the Mounting Wing offsets it on your kit. If your radio rides further back, the Cable Extension adds 50 cm. Pouches to carry the radio itself are in radio pouches.

Running Sordin ear pro? The Nexus to AUX 3.5 adapter connects it to the PTT. For Peltor ear pro without a boom mic, there's the FC-PTT Peltor Adapter (No Mic).

Falconclaw night vision: FC-M 2500+ FOM monocular

The FC-M 2500+ FOM Monocular is a white phosphor monocular with an autogated tube. Autogating protects the tube when a light suddenly hits it, so a flashlight or headlights won't flashbang you.

The numbers:

  • 2500+ FOM, at least 72 lp/mm resolution
  • 40° field of view
  • Under 250 g without the battery
  • One CR123A runs it for 40+ hours at room temperature.
  • The housing is 7075 aluminium

Every unit is tested individually, down to -40 °C and 20 metres underwater for 30 minutes. It's made in Estonia and comes with a 5-year warranty.

Thermal Overlay 640: Thermal for the NODs you already have

Analog night vision struggles with things that are dark and don't move. A person lying still in the trees is a good example. Thermal doesn't care.

The Thermal Overlay 640 clips onto most night vision devices and lays a thermal image over the picture you already see. You can switch between low-light fusion, thermal highlight and thermal outline, depending on how much thermal you want in the view.

It weighs 62 g and runs on its internal battery or an external pack. That's a lot cheaper and lighter than replacing your night vision with a separate thermal scope.

Quick-detach mounts: QDA, QDM and QDF

Falconclaw's mounts move one night vision device between your hand, your helmet and your rifle without tools.

  • QDA (PVS-14 / THE-14): the 21 g adapter that goes on the monocular. It works on either side and fits standard dovetails.
  • QDM: a 47 g quick-detach J-arm for standard dovetail helmet mounts like the Wilcox G24, Cadex and Argus.
  • QDF Flip Mount: a 66 g rifle mount that flips the device 90° out of your line of sight when you switch back to your day optic. With a QDA, the optical centreline sits at 41 mm (1.63") above the rail.

The QDA is the piece that ties it together. Put one on the monocular, and the device clicks into the QDM on your helmet or the QDF on your rifle.

Made in Estonia, shipped from Helsinki

Falconclaw is an Estonian company, and the FC-M and QDM are designed and built there. For us that's about as local as proper night vision can get: the other side of the Gulf of Finland.

We keep it in stock in Helsinki and ship across the EU, with VAT included and no customs inside the EU.

FAQ

Does the Falconclaw PTT work with my Peltor headset?

Yes, if it's a wired Peltor or NATO-wired headset. Both plug straight into the PTT. Sordin needs the Nexus to AUX 3.5 adapter, and Howard Leight works with adapter support.

Do I need a battery for the PTT?

Only for Bluetooth. Radio comms work without a battery. Bluetooth for calls, Zello and music needs a CR123.

Which radio cable do I need?

The one that matches the connector on your radio: 2-Pin Kenwood, 2-Pin ICOM, 2-Pin Motorola, Motorola GP340, 6-Pin NATO or 9-Pin Fischer. If you're not sure, email us your radio model before you order.

Do you ship Falconclaw night vision across the EU?

We ship Falconclaw from Helsinki to the rest of the EU, with VAT included and no customs. Rules on night vision and thermal devices, especially weapon mounting, vary from country to country. Check your local rules before you order.
