Modlite Multi-Mode IR Head
Dedicated IR illuminator head (940 nm) for night-vision use only. Optimized reflector delivers a broad flood with a defined hotspot—effective to ~75 yd (atmosphere dependent).
Dedicated night-vision IR illuminator head (850 nm) with a tight hotspot and usable spill that can illuminate ~300 yd+depending on conditions. This is Modlite’s highest-throw IR head, ideal when distance matters.
850 nm vs 940 nm (quick pick)
-
850 nm (this head): More range/throw, faint emitter glow possible from the front.
-
940 nm: More covert to the naked eye, shorter range with a wider flood (better for close CQB/admin).
Runtimes
-
18650 cell: High ~75 min · Admin ~10.6 hrs (≈15% of High)
-
18350 cell: High ~35 min · Admin ~3.6 hrs (≈15% of High)
Power & Modes
-
Multi-Mode: Quick switch between High and Admin
-
Dual-fuel: Runs on 18350 or 18650 rechargeables, or 2× CR123 (with a compatible dual-cell body)
-
Heads are multi-mode capable across 18XXX cells
Build & Durability
-
6061 aluminum bezel, Mil-Spec hard anodized
-
BOROFLOAT® ultra-clear lens (≈98–99% transmittance)
-
Fully potted driver; tested to withstand select-fire SCAR-17 recoil
Compatibility / Notes
-
This is the head only; pair with a Modlite 18350/18650 body (and appropriate tailcap/switch).
-
940 nm output is invisible to the naked eye; requires NV devices to view.
Care
Gear Care (Read This Before You Wreck It)
Always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions first. That’s the rule.
In general:
Soft goods (clothing, slings, pouches, etc.) are usually machine-washable at 30°C and air dry only — unless the label or product page says otherwise. No tumble dryer, no bleach, no “it’ll probably be fine.”
Hard goods (plates, helmets, tools, lights, etc.) should not be thrown in a washer. Wipe them down with water or a mild cleaner and let them dry naturally. No solvents, no high heat, no dishwasher experiments.
If you use cleaning methods that are not recommended by the manufacturer and something fails because of that, it’s not covered by warranty.
Treat your kit like it’s going back out tomorrow.

Shipping & Returns
We move fast.
For in-stock items, handling time is 0–1 business days and we hand your order to the carrier right away. Shipping speed and price depend on what you pick at checkout (Posti for standard/economy in Finland & EU, FedEx for faster domestic, EU/EEA, and international delivery).
If something is shown as out of stock but still purchasable, that means it’s on back-order / special-order. Estimated dispatch for those items is usually 5–30 days. High-end products like night vision devices and thermal optics are most often “made to order,” meaning we source them individually per customer request.
If your cart has both in-stock gear and made-to-order gear, we may ship what’s ready first so you don’t have to wait.
You’ll get a tracking code as soon as your parcel is handed to Posti or FedEx.
