The Carinthia Poncho Pro R is a robust rain poncho designed to provide dependable weather protection in harsh conditions. Constructed from durable, waterproof, windproof, and breathable polyamide, it keeps you dry while maintaining comfort during prolonged use in rain and wind.

The poncho features a generously sized hood with adjustable drawcord, shielding the face from rain and wind, while wide sleeve covers help prevent water from entering. Instead of a traditional zipper, the poncho uses a reinforced button placket to improve durability and reliability in demanding environments.

Designed for versatility, the Poncho Pro R can quickly transform into a stand-alone tarp shelter. The hood can be stowed in a dedicated pocket, allowing the poncho to be stretched using integrated loops to create a protective overhead shelter. Multiple ponchos can also be connected together, expanding coverage for larger shelters or group use.

When paired with the Carinthia Poncho Pro C, the system provides additional insulation and full protection against cold and wet weather. The poncho packs compactly into its own storage sack, making it an essential piece of equipment for military use, trekking, camping, and outdoor operations.

Gear Care (Read This Before You Wreck It)

Always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions first. That’s the rule.

In general:


  • Soft goods (clothing, slings, pouches, etc.) are usually machine-washable at 30°C and air dry only — unless the label or product page says otherwise. No tumble dryer, no bleach, no “it’ll probably be fine.”

  • Hard goods (plates, helmets, tools, lights, etc.) should not be thrown in a washer. Wipe them down with water or a mild cleaner and let them dry naturally. No solvents, no high heat, no dishwasher experiments.

If you use cleaning methods that are not recommended by the manufacturer and something fails because of that, it’s not covered by warranty.

For in-stock items, handling time is 0–1 business days and we hand your order to the carrier right away. Shipping speed and price depend on what you pick at checkout (Posti for standard/economy in Finland & EU, FedEx for faster domestic, EU/EEA, and international delivery).


If something is shown as out of stock but still purchasable, that means it’s on back-order / special-order. Estimated dispatch for those items is usually 5–30 days. High-end products like night vision devices and thermal optics are most often “made to order,” meaning we source them individually per customer request.
