Carinthia Observer Plus Bivy Bag
The Carinthia Observer Plus is a professional-grade bivy system designed for observation, reconnaissance, and harsh-weather survival. Built with a self-standing double pole support, the bivy creates a small dome at the head area, providing enough internal space to operate equipment such as a rifle, optic, or other mission-essential gear while remaining concealed.
The tapered design slopes from the shoulders to the foot end, eliminating straight lines that are easily spotted in the field and improving camouflage. An L-shaped entry with dual zippers allows easy access while storm flaps protect all openings from wind and rain. The front observation panel offers a 180° field of view and can be fully sealed in severe weather, while still allowing a rifle or spotting scope to be positioned through a dedicated observation split. Both the observation opening and main entry include integrated mosquito nets for protection in warmer environments.
Constructed from 3-layer GORE-TEX® Gas Permeable laminate, the Observer Plus provides full waterproof and windproof protection while remaining highly breathable. Unlike standard clothing membranes, this technology is permeable to oxygen and carbon dioxide, allowing the bivy to be completely sealed while maintaining airflow—an essential advantage in extreme weather or snow conditions.
Five loops on the underside allow an insulating sleeping mat to be secured in place, ensuring stability and comfort during use. Lightweight yet durable, the Observer Plus delivers dependable protection when a tent is not practical or when stealth and mobility are critical.

Care
Gear Care (Read This Before You Wreck It)
Always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions first. That’s the rule.
In general:
Soft goods (clothing, slings, pouches, etc.) are usually machine-washable at 30°C and air dry only — unless the label or product page says otherwise. No tumble dryer, no bleach, no “it’ll probably be fine.”
Hard goods (plates, helmets, tools, lights, etc.) should not be thrown in a washer. Wipe them down with water or a mild cleaner and let them dry naturally. No solvents, no high heat, no dishwasher experiments.
If you use cleaning methods that are not recommended by the manufacturer and something fails because of that, it’s not covered by warranty.
Treat your kit like it’s going back out tomorrow.

Shipping & Returns
We move fast.
For in-stock items, handling time is 0–1 business days and we hand your order to the carrier right away. Shipping speed and price depend on what you pick at checkout (Posti for standard/economy in Finland & EU, FedEx for faster domestic, EU/EEA, and international delivery).
If something is shown as out of stock but still purchasable, that means it’s on back-order / special-order. Estimated dispatch for those items is usually 5–30 days. High-end products like night vision devices and thermal optics are most often “made to order,” meaning we source them individually per customer request.
If your cart has both in-stock gear and made-to-order gear, we may ship what’s ready first so you don’t have to wait.
You’ll get a tracking code as soon as your parcel is handed to Posti or FedEx.
