Spiritus Systems plate carrier: LV-120
The LV-120 Plate Carrier Kit is the newest Spiritus plate carrier, and the rest of the system is now built around it.
The shell is X-Pac X50 and nylon laminate, so it doesn't hold water. The 3D mesh inside dries faster than your shirt does. In size Medium, the core carrier weighs 2.03 lb (about 920 g).
The plate bags are cut for US SAPI plates. Medium takes 9.5 × 12.5-inch plates, including thicker ones within spec.
The Reactive Cummerbund comes in the kit. A rigid CURV composite keeps your pouches from sagging, and the shock cord lets it stretch when you breathe, bend or twist. You can wear the carrier snug without it picking a fight with your ribs.
The front takes G-hooks, 1-inch buckles and Quick Attach Tabs, so most placards and front panels go straight on. A comms pass-through routes the radio cable into the plate bag instead of around the outside of the carrier.
For side protection, the Side Armor Bags hold 6 × 6-inch hard plates up to 1 inch thick. Their MOLLE is offset, so the side plate sits forward and overlaps the front plate. That closes the gap most side armor setups leave open. They need a MOLLE cummerbund. Elastic ones won't work.
Spiritus Systems chest rig: Micro Fight
The Micro Fight Chassis Mk6 is a single-cell chest rig with a loop-lined interior. Every Spiritus magazine insert fits inside. Switching from 7.62 to 5.56 means buying a 35,90€ insert, not a new rig.
To wear it on its own, add a Fat Strap Mk4 harness and a Back Strap. One Fat Strap is enough. You don't need a pair. To use it as a placard, buckle it to the front of an LV-120.
The Mk6 has the same footprint as the Mk5, so your Mk5 accessories carry over.
Out of room? The Thing 3 adds four columns of double-sided MOLLE on each side, enough for up to three SPUD Pouches. It also takes Mk4 and Mk5 placards. The Expander Wing Mk-2 puts a side pouch under the harness on either side of the body and fits a rifle mag or a radio like the PRC-152. The Pangolin Flap closes over gear that's the wrong shape for a normal flap.
Spiritus Systems pouches
Spiritus makes a lot of pouches. Somewhere, someone has probably found a use for all of them.
The SACK Pouch Mk3 rides low on the front, under a carrier or chest rig. The half-zip opening keeps the contents in even when it's unzipped. That matters in a vehicle, where anything you drop ends up under a seat. Elastic loops on the bottom hold a tourniquet. For waist carry, there's the Fanny SACK Mk3 and the rest of our fanny packs.
The GP pouches come in three sizes. The Small GP is deeper than most small pouches and fits a PVS-15, PVS-31 or DTNVG. The Medium GP Mk3 is wider and flatter at 7 × 6 × 2 inches. The GP Tall swallows a Nalgene. All three are loop-lined for Spiritus pouch inserts and have a pass-through for 2-inch belts.
The CCS Pouch covers the whole front of a Micro Fight chassis. It holds your phone, ID and tools behind double zips, and the loop field on the face takes your patches.
For comms, the Multi Platform Radio Chassis Mk5 holds anything from a small handheld to an MPU5 or PRC-163. You can swap batteries without pulling the radio out.
For medical, the Delta Bag is an assault medic bag worn over a plate carrier. The main compartment opens like a clamshell, and the briefcase handles let you carry it open as a workstation.
Mission Rugby Shirt
Spiritus makes clothing too, although considerably less of it than pouches.
The Mission Rugby Shirt is made for wearing under load-bearing gear. The fabric is inherently flame-resistant and rated no-melt, no-drip to ASTM D6413. There are no shoulder seams where carrier straps sit, and the high collar keeps slings and straps off your neck. It's made in the USA. We also carry the long-sleeve version and the Mission Hoodie.
Spiritus clothing looks fairly normal without a carrier on, which is probably intentional.
Why the pieces fit together
Spiritus doesn't lock you into Spiritus.
The LV-120's rear zipper was designed with Ferro Concepts to a cross-brand standard for back panels. The cummerbund closes with FirstSpear TUBES. The Micro Fight uses standard side-release buckles and takes G-hooks.
So you can buy a chassis today, change your carrier later and add a back panel next year without starting over. One catch: older Spiritus back panels may not fully fit the new LV-120 zipper, so check before you order one.
Spiritus Systems – Finally in Europe
Spiritus is an American brand. Ordering straight from the US works fine until the parcel lands: import VAT, a courier handling fee and a few days in a customs queue.
So we keep it in Helsinki instead. The price at checkout already includes VAT, and Posti and FedEx show their delivery options and transit times before you pay.
Less time refreshing tracking. More time figuring out where the tourniquet goes.
FAQ
Where do Spiritus Systems orders ship from?
From our warehouse in Helsinki, Finland, across the EU. VAT is included in the listed price, and there are no customs charges on deliveries inside the EU. Orders placed before 14:00 Helsinki time on a business day ship the same day.
Will my Mk5 accessories fit the Micro Fight Mk6?
Yes. Your Mk5 accessories won't turn into expensive shelf decorations. The Mk6 has the same footprint as the Mk5, and Spiritus magazine inserts fit both.
Which plates fit the LV-120?
US SAPI-cut plates. The Medium plate bag takes 9.5 × 12.5-inch plates, including thicker plates within the manufacturer's spec.
LV-119 or LV-120?
The LV-120 is the next generation after the LV-119. If you already run an LV-119, you don't need a new carrier to get the newer cummerbund. The Reactive MOLLE Tubes Cummerbund was made as an LV-119 upgrade, and it's the same cummerbund that comes in the LV-120 kit.
Can I put a Haley Strategic placard on the LV-120?
Yes, if it attaches with 1-inch buckles or G-hooks. The Haley Strategic D3CRM and MOD placards use standard 1-inch buckles, and the LV-120 front takes them.
