The Direct Action® Compact MED Pouch Horizontal offers a modern, streamlined solution for carrying mission-critical medical supplies in a compact, belt-mounted format. Engineered with a low-profile design and made from durable Cordura® 500D, 210D nylon, and laser-cut laminate, this horizontal IFAK is built to withstand the demands of military, law enforcement, and tactical use.

Designed for wear on the back of a duty or tactical belt, the pouch mounts securely to any MOLLE/PALS-compatible platform or belts up to 45 mm wide, using durable paracord loops. Optimized for integration with the Direct Action HORNET® Skeletonized Belt Sleeve, it also fits seamlessly into other gear setups.

Inside, elastic retention loops keep medical contents organized and secure. The ambidextrous pull-out insert features a Hypalon® handle for one-handed operation under stress. An external elastic loop at the top holds a tourniquet for immediate access, and the back of the insert includes attachment points for a trauma shears pouch.

A Velcro® panel with a “MED” marking provides fast visual identification when seconds matter.

Gear Care (Read This Before You Wreck It)

Always follow the manufacturer’s care instructions first. That’s the rule.

In general:


  • Soft goods (clothing, slings, pouches, etc.) are usually machine-washable at 30°C and air dry only — unless the label or product page says otherwise. No tumble dryer, no bleach, no “it’ll probably be fine.”

  • Hard goods (plates, helmets, tools, lights, etc.) should not be thrown in a washer. Wipe them down with water or a mild cleaner and let them dry naturally. No solvents, no high heat, no dishwasher experiments.

If you use cleaning methods that are not recommended by the manufacturer and something fails because of that, it’s not covered by warranty.

If something is shown as out of stock but still purchasable, that means it’s on back-order / special-order. Estimated dispatch for those items is usually 5–30 days. High-end products like night vision devices and thermal optics are most often “made to order,” meaning we source them individually per customer request.
